A Practical Approach to Identifying Potential PFAS Sources

As regulatory and public interest in per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) continues to increase, utilities are faced with questions about whether there are any PFAS-related threats to their systems and where to look for cost recovery efforts. Corona Environmental Consulting has developed a desktop inventory method to identify potential PFAS sources to better understand the landscape of facilities, land uses and pathways that may pose PFAS contamination threats. These inventories can help guide source water protection programs and cost recovery efforts and help utilities answer questions about the impacts of PFAS on their drinking water sources.

Webinars attendees will learn about:

  • High risk industries for PFAS
  • Best federal and state data sources for industry types & known PFAS contamination
  • Approaches to filtering data
  • How to use a potential PFAS Source Inventory

Presented by:
Margaret Kearns, Director of Water Resources
